Over twenty-four years ago, a group of woodworkers joined together to share information and exhibit their talents to residents and visitors of Mendocino County. After taking a break for few years, we have re-formed as a collective of woodworkers, to exhibit and share our skills with the millions of visitors to the World Wide Web as MendocinoWoodworking.com. Since our debut in May of 1999 we have had over 124,000 visits to Our web site at www.MendocinoWoodworking.com.

www.MendocinoArtists.com has had over 80,000 visits since its' inception 32 months ago !

Realizing that there is a need for a "web hub" for other artists and artisans, we have also registered two commercial domain names which will link to a new home page for Mendocino Artists and Artisans. The address is:

You can also have a Dot Com name that goes directly to your pages at MendocinoArtists.com (ex: www.Fagerskog.com or www.HilaryEddy.com or MendocinoDoors.com)

This site exists to benefit ALL artists, craftspeople, and artisans in Mendocino County. The site has many different categories.

We will add any new category that our members feel is necessary to promote our skills, trades, and businesses in Mendocino County.

Each member will have one main page with text and small photos, called "thumbnails". After the "visitor" views your text, and finds out who YOU are, they can then click on the small photos; they are then transferred to an enlarged version of this photo of Your work or project. This gives each participant 9 web pages ...... 1 with information and 8 with photos which will help represent and inform your client base about who you are and what you do.

Most, if not all of our potential customers and clients NOW have the ability to visit the Mendocino Artists & Artisans.com from the comfort of their homes.

If you already have a web page this site will still benefit you and your client-base due to the very large volume of exposure we will receive. Of course, your MA&A home page would hyperlink directly to Your "other" web site.

Our goal is to create high exposure, with a simple, yet elegant and inviting Site, whose sole function is to promote YOUR work and business. There will be no advertising. Each member will have their own personal web address ............ here are 2 examples:

We believe so much in this concept, and its future, that we will help design and build your personal site at NO CHARGE, with No Deposit ....... and there is No "Catch".

The site is FREE to Mendocino Artists and Artisans at the MA&A Site.

I hope to provide an Online Gallery for Our members in the coming months ( with a commission of "around" 10%).
This will help to insure the future existence of an Artists site controlled by Artists

We have launched this site with a few members , who are premiering it's beginning, which is being constructed for the benefit of the artists and artisans and is Not for Profit ..... except the "profit" you will realize by expose on the WWWeb.

Next ........... sit down and write a description about you, your work, and your business.
.................PLEASE Email me your text and include a copy with your photos or digital images. You don't want me to have to retype your text.

What would you like Your Future Customers to learn about you .... your trade, your craft, your expertise. Provide us with whatever text you would like on Your Web Site, with up to 1000 words. PLEASE Email me your text and include a copy with your photos.

Next ....... Provide us with Eight Photos or slides of the work you wish displayed on Your Web Site. Internet picture resolution is Not as critical as the print media, due to the fact that a monitor has less resolution then print. A good "snap shot" will look just fine on the Internet. The size is not as important either ......... the magic of computers changes your photograph into 1's and 0's that can be enlarged, reduced, & manipulated quite easily.
Number each photo 1 thru 8 and email me with whatever title, text, description, and prices you wish for each piece

Upon visiting Your Page ........ the Visitors will see Your text and 8 smaller versions (2"x 4") of each photo .......... and will then be invited to "click" on smaller photographs to view a full size rendition of your work.

All photos will be returned, only if you include stamped envelope. Please indicate which of the 8 photos is your favorite ....... this will be the "rotating" picture on the Home Page ......... they rotate with each new hit.
