Over the years my career path has led me from television & newspaper, to marketing, meeting planning, special event planning, fundraising, gallery management and now running a Chamber of Commerce. I have always tried to stay connected in some way to the art world. Serving on the board of directors for the Arts Council of Mendocino County over the last 4 years has helped. My day job keeps me pretty busy, leaving little time to create art. However, I am beginning to steal away moments on the weekend to create again.

In the past, I have drawn upon the media for inspiration, sometimes creating art with a political edge. Then there are times when past relationships and memories weave their way into my work.

My work tends to be narrative, a sort of storytelling if you will. You can see evidence of this in my ceramic sculpture work. I am often influenced by art history, this can be seen in my bas-relief of Hillary and the Statue of Liberty in "Tweaking Liberty". This was a remake of a famous painting that is housed at the Louvre, in Paris, France...but with a twist.

In the past year I have been exploring mixed media and altar boxes with various themes. I look forward to sharing them with you. Enjoy!
